Combustion and Flame is the scientific journal of the Combustion Institute. It covers every aspect of combustion from theory to experiment, from pure to applied work and from science to engineering.
You can access full text articles online if your institution subscribes to the journal on Science Direct. If not, only the abstracts are visible.
Alternatively, Combustion Institute members can have discounted online access to Combustion and Flame. Contact the Hon Secretary (see Committee Members List) to receive instructions on how to set up a personal account. The journal is accessible at http://www.sciencedirect.com/combustflame
To submit a paper to Combustion and Flame see the instructions for authors on the publisher’s website. It is a good place to publish work on combustion because it is read by everyone in the world of combustion. Publication times are very good, as is also the Impact Factor (recently 1.5 – 1.8), which is higher than that of any other journal publishing research papers on combustion. There are fifty free reprints issued for each paper published. Free sample copies can be obtained from the publisher Elsevier.
