For the 2024 Hinshelwood Prize, eight strong candidates were nominated by CIBS members. Each candidate was evaluated by the Award Panel, which consisted of three members from the CIBS community, including academics and previous Hinshelwood Prize winners. The nominated candidates were scored on a scale of 1 to 10, and their rankings were determined by assessing the impact of their work and research track record. The panel members registered no conflicts of interest. The winner, Dr Temistocle Grenga, achieved the highest average score in the ranking.
The Panel members were:
Dr Ewa J. Marek (Chair, University of Cambridge)
Prof. Alex Taylor (Imperial College London)
Dr Jim Rogerson (Siemens Energy)
